THE LEGACY OF FATHER NEIL
Through this lecture series, our goal is to facilitate dialogue that interprets the interplay of our faith and the Spirit in modern daily life. We’ve decided to honor Father Neil by dedicating our talks and special events to his vision of how a Catholic life should be lived: by finding Jesus in everything!

ABOUT
THE MONSIGNOR NEIL A. CONNoLLY LECTURE SERIES
Msgr. Neil A. Connolly joined us at St. Francis de Sales in 2013, and we were privileged tho have him here for a number of years in his retirement. He was active in our parish community until he entered into eternal life on April 1, 2017 at the age of 83. It is in his name that we seek to share the wisdom of our tradition and highlight the importance of using our informed consciences to make wise decisions throughout our lives.
Father Neil was a parish priest who was passionate about issues of social justice and the formation of the laity. He was a champion for lay leadership and community organization. He will be remembered for this integral work that he and his fellow post-Vatican II clergy took part in during the 1960s and 1970s in the South Bronx. For a beautiful recap of his life published in The New York Times, click here.
